| Airline hand baggage restrictions have recently been relaxed to allow passengers to carry a larger bag on board flights. Due to the revised regulations at all national airports, passengers are allowed to carry ONE item of hand baggage through the airport security search points. Each item of hand baggage must be no larger than the below specified size.
The dimensions are as follows:
- 56 centimeters long (approximately 22 inches)
- 45 centimeters high (approximately 17.5 inches)
- 25 centimeters wide (approximately 9.85 inches)
Please note: other bags, such as handbags, may be carried within the single item of cabin baggage. Musical instruments are also now permitted on board flights. All items carried by passengers will be x-ray screened. All laptops and large electrical items (e.g. large hairdryer) must be removed from the bag and placed in a tray so that such items neither obscure nor are obscured by the bag.
Prior to travel, please check with your airline that your bag will correspond with any current requirements.
